Hilary Kretchmer (writing as A Téa Sera) works in multiple genres but is currently most at home writing literary short stories. When not spending time with her characters, she makes a living teaching Pilates and yoga, and enjoys time with family. Hilary holds a BFA in Dance, an MA in Interdisciplinary Arts, and recently graduated with an MFA from the Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing at Spalding University.
Hilary has spent much of her life straddling the intersection of art and commerce. She worked in marketing and communications, desktop publishing, graphic design, web design and development, and non-profit administration and development, where she had plenty of opportunity to hone her writing and editing skills. Simultaneously, Hilary enjoyed playwriting, performing, choreographing and producing concerts.
In 2023, Hilary's story “Pony Queen” was a finalist in New Millennium Writing Awards (Contest 56), and more recently, her story “The Grind” was accepted by Etched Onyx Magazine/Story Discovery Podcast and an interview is forthcoming.
